Good news/Bad news…

Bad news is: Spanky went for his recheck of blood work and chest xray yesterday. The results weren’t quite what we where hoping for. His white blood cell count is creeping back up (19,000 – normal is 16,000) and his chest xray doesn’t look quite as good as the last one. So he is back on antibiotics (a different one than before) and the local vets have put in a call to the guys at UGA to get a second opinion on how to proceed. We’ll know more early next week. Hopefully, we’ll be able to proceed with the surgery he needs for that hip.

Good news is: He has gained more weight. He is now 12.2 pounds! He is feeling so good…running and playing all the time. It is so great to see.

Passed another milestone tonight too. He went out the doggy door on his own for the very first time. He has been coming in but hadn’t attempted to go out until tonight. He made it look as though he’d been doing it all along! LOL
