Spanky Update Apr. 24

Spanky and a toy

Rainy day meant we were stuck inside most of the day. It was Spanky’s first day without his pain meds…decided to try it and see how he did and give it to him later in the day if he seemed to need it. But, he seemed to have no problems. This is a very good sign.

Miracle of miracles, Spanky seems to be one of the few daschsunds that don’t mind the rain (at least if it isn’t raining too hard). When the sun is shining he will do his thing and then look for the brightest spot in the yard to lay down and take in the sun. Today, in the (light) rain, he did his thing and then looked for a stick to chew on and laid down under the tree.

He is starting to love toys which is great to see. He will pick them up and carry them to his blankie. He has to watch though…if he turns his back to go get another one, Tucker will sneak over to the stash he already has and steal one. LOL
